I thought of you and closed my eyes; and prayed to God today
I asked what makes a Mother and I know I heard him say...
A Mother has a baby, this we know is true.
But God, can you be a Mother, when your baby's not with you?
Yes, you can, he replied with confidence in His voice,
I give many women babies, when they leave is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime; and others for a few years
And some I send to feel your womb, but there's no need to stay.
I just don't understand this, God, I want my baby here
He took a breath and cleared His throat, and then, I saw a tear.
I wish I could show you what your child is doing today
If you could see your child smile with other children and say;
"We go to earth to learn our lessons of love and life and fear,
My mommy loved me oh so much, I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a Mom, who had so much love for me
I learned my lesson very quickly, my Mommy set me free.
I miss my Mommy oh so much but I visit her each day
When she goes to sleep, on her pillow is where I lay.
I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek; and whisper in her ear
Mommy don't be sad today, I'm your baby and I'm here."
So, you see, my dear sweet one, your children are okay
Your babies are here in my home; and this is where they'll stay.
They'll wait for you with me, until your lesson is through
And on the day that you come home, they'll be at the gates for you.
So, now you see what makes a Mother, it's the feeling from your heart
It's the love you had so much of, right from the very start.
Though some on earth may not realize you are a mother.
They'll be up here with me one day and you know you're the best one.

Waiting at the Door

I can’t explain so deep inside
The very fabric of my soul
Only a heart that grieves such loss
Can ever truly understand

It’s like you’re waiting at the door
Until a loved one comes back home
You feel a longing in your heart
When they appear the longing stops

But in a loss that never ends
You’re always standing at that door
You feel the longing in the breeze
So incomplete and never filled

I cannot find the words to say
Just what it’s like to want forever
Never seeing them again
Just always waiting at the door

There is nothing i can do,
to make her come back
There are no words I can say,
that can replace the words you long to hear

There are no answer's I can give,
that will satisfy your questions
There is not another soul I can introduce you to that will ever replace hers
And, there is no love I can offer that will ever replace the love you shared

I can not promise your broken heart will ever be complete
I will not say it could have been worse
I will not deny it was a tragedy
I will not lie and tell you she will come back

sHe never really left

I do promise she hears you when you speak
I will say she loves you no matter the distance
I will not deny she is in a better place
And, I will not lie; she is waiting to greet you someday

She is in everything you do

Dear Lord,
Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head:
God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm and safe from harm
For they're so close to me.
And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.
Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboad
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.
You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends
I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.
By faith is how I know them
much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.
Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.
